Just letting you know about a new Allstar node in Narrogin, after a quick trip to meet with Rob VK6LD and Ron VK6VOX a couple of months ago to handover the equipment to me VK6KFK, I had the equipment and antenna installed at my QTH by late afternoon and the node was on air for its first contact.

The Narrogin node is on 70cms, frequency 439.150MHz, with a 123.0hz CTCSS tone required for access and is connected 24/7 to the VK6 South West Hub. (Allstar node number is 471734.)

I will hopefully update in the next few days on the coverage in and around Narrogin. If you’re passing through the area, please tune on the frequency, give a call and let us know the coverage.

The equipment is the old Gnowangerup Western Australia node and was kindly donated to the project by SEG member Ian VK6MIB and is hosted by me VK6KFK.

I've been looking for a antenna for a while and I found the one I wanted to suit my yard space and the bands I'm going for that is 10m and 15m bands can't wait, I'm also working on the Tower base plate this weekend before a freind in town, Ian Nottle is doing the welding for me, big thanks to Ian.
